Learn how locacsv.com handles tool input and what network activity occurs when you visit the site.

Last updated:

Data loaded into the tools

CSV contents, file names, selected columns, search values, join keys, and other tool input are processed in your browser. They are not sent to a locacsv.com server or another external service.

Working data is held in browser memory and is discarded when you close or reload the page. Generated CSV and ZIP files are downloaded to your device only when you choose to save them.

Network activity when pages load

Your browser connects to Cloudflare Pages to load this website. While delivering the page, Cloudflare may handle ordinary connection details such as your IP address, the time, and browser and operating-system information (the User-Agent).

Only your light or dark theme is saved in the browser. The locacsv-theme cookie lasts for up to one year. The site's browser storage (localStorage) keeps the theme until you clear site data. Neither stores CSV contents, file names, or other tool input.

The public site, locacsv.com, uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and check page performance. The CSV processing site, engine.locacsv.com, does not use it. Blocking analytics does not restrict the CSV tools.

The processing site may send a small amount of non-identifying usage information to telemetry.locacsv.com. It never sends CSV contents or file names.

LocaCSV does not place advertising on the public site, CSV processing site, or desktop application. It does not use embedded advertising software (SDKs) or advertising cookies. LocaCSV Pro may be shown as information about our own product.

  • Sent: the tool used, approximate size and duration ranges, a fixed error category, and a version number for the event format.
  • Not sent: CSV contents, file names, headers, cell values, conditions, exact sizes, or persistent user, device, or session IDs.
  • During delivery: telemetry.locacsv.com uses a Cloudflare Worker, a Cloudflare service that receives the event. Cloudflare may handle the IP address, time, and browser or operating-system information (the User-Agent), but LocaCSV does not store them in the event, application logs, or analytics data.
  • If sending fails: the event is not stored or retried, and the CSV tools continue to work.

Retention and service providers

Cloudflare says Web Analytics keeps every visit signal it receives for seven days. It then combines those signals into summary data available for up to the previous six months. Approved CSV processing events stay for three months in Workers Analytics Engine, Cloudflare's event-counting service. The application does not copy either set of data to another database, external log, or long-term archive.

Cloudflare handles information while providing Pages delivery, Web Analytics, and the services that receive and count usage events. No information is sent to an advertising provider or third-party analytics software (SDK). Information Cloudflare handles to provide these services is subject to Cloudflare's applicable terms and privacy policy.

Disabling analytics and preference storage

You can block Cloudflare Web Analytics with browser content blocking, an extension, or network controls that block static.cloudflareinsights.com and cloudflareinsights.com. You can prevent CSV processing events by blocking telemetry.locacsv.com or using the tools offline. Blocking either service never restricts CSV processing, completion messages, or downloads.

You can remove the theme cookie and the saved theme in the site's browser storage (localStorage) through your browser's site-data controls. Refusing or clearing them does not restrict CSV tools, although the theme may not carry to your next visit.

Third-party disclosure and inquiries

The application does not collect tool input or sell, use for advertising, or disclose CSV data to third parties. Analytics information is not disclosed except for Cloudflare's processing required to provide the service, a lawful request, or protection of rights and safety.

You do not need to attach CSV contents, real personal information, file names, headers, or cell values when asking a privacy question or reporting a security concern. If we need to reproduce the issue, send only the steps and use made-up example data.

Your device and saved files

  • On a shared device, manage downloaded files and browser history appropriately.
  • Browser extensions and other software on your device are outside this site's control. Use a trusted environment.
  • Before processing confidential data, check your organization's information-handling rules and device security settings.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected in this page and its last-updated date.
